 The
West Side Campus
The West Side Campus of the Joan Harris Centre for Gifted/Talented is located
in the Harris Conservatory for the Arts at 545 Charles Street in Luzerne
Pennsylvania. This locale was specifically chosen to position the studio
in the center of the major municipalities of Wyoming Valley. Students from
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, West Side Communities and even the Poconos
who study at the Kingston Campus appreciate its easy access to the main
arteries that crises-cross the region, such as the Cross Valley Expressway.
Back Mountain Campus
The location for the Back Mountain Campus was chosen using the following criteria; convenience for the students, proximity to other points of interest for the parents, and overall beauty of the facility. The studio is in the Twin Stacks Complex on the Memorial Highway in Dallas. This new development was built using the preexisting structure of an enormous textile factory that once operated there. The architecture encompasses a blend of industrial and natural elements that together create something quite unique to our region.
