AMANDA URBANSKI - Instructor

Amanda has been studying ballet, tap and jazz dance for the fifteen years. She has had an extremely successful career at the center, being named a student representative at age 14, a student aid the next year and this past season attending the rank of full teacher, making her one of the only high school students in the school’s 29 year history to achieve that status. As a performer she has danced lead and supporting roles in Puss in Boots, (Puss), Snow White, (Snow White) and Don Quixote, (Mercedes). She has also appeared with the Moscow Ballet in their productions of The Great Russian Nutcracker and Swan Lake. Her successes in dance are only matched by her accomplishments in school and volunteerism. She is a member of both the National Honor Society, (serving a secretary during her senior year), her school’s student council and Saint Michaels Society at Holy Redeemer High School. Miss Urbanski is also a member of the Saint Jude’s Youth Advisory Board where she helped plan workshops and event for the youth of the parish. She also was chair of the liturgical committee for the “Light the Fire” annual youth rally where she choreographed original liturgical pieces. This year she was name “The Best And Brightest” for the Performing Arts From the Times Leader. This fall she will be attending De Sales University where she will be majoring in dance.
