Jose DeLaCruz Broadway Dance Center, New York City
Jose De La Cruz is fast becoming one of the dance world's brightest rising stars ad profiled in Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit Magazine, etc. You have seen Jose in major dance magazines all over the world as the Bloch model from 1997-2000. He was one of the only four dancers to perform at the Radio City Music Hall's KTU Summer Spectacular in 1998 where hundreds of dancers are usually on stage at once. He has instructed the child prodigies from the Broadway smash hit, The Lion King, on the techniques of movement through dance (mainly funk and hip-hop) "to make them funkier!"
He has taught all over Europe, Italy and London. He was the first American to teach at the world Dance Convention in April 2000 in Israel. He has recently contracted with companies associated with Disney animation as their dancer to direct the movement of the animated characters for current projects and has written a TV talk show for kids/teens with writers from Disney/Nickelodeon, which will be hosted by Jose in the near future. The promo episode starts filming in New York, in April.
