Diana Sweeney Adjunct Instructor
Diana first started studying dance at the Joan Harris Centre at the age of
four. Along with her training in tap, jazz, and ballet at the studio, Diana
studied other ethnic forms of dance such as Middle Eastern, Hawaiian and
Tahitian and performed with the Oasis Dance Company.
Diana has attended both DEA dance conventions and the Keystone State Dance
Festivals where she has taken classes from such reputable instructors as Frank Hatchett, Charles Goddertz, Keri Lee and Joe Melchiona.
Diana has acquired experiences on stage that range from dance to theater. In the year 2000, she
portrayed the role of Espada in the studio's production of "Don Quixote". That spring, she also appeared as one of the Temptresses in "Jesus Christ Superstar" produced by the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, where she won special note in a review by the Citizen's Voice. Most recently, Diana portrayed Chastity, one of Reno's angels, in the Little Theatre's fall production of "Anything Goes".
Diana is currently attending Muhlenberg College where she studies Business/Marketing as well as pursuing a minor in Dance. While classes are in session, she also performs in the dance department's student choreographed concerts as well as learning the ropes backstage.
