HEIDI MELCHIONA–
Master Instructor
Heidi is a nationally recognized dance instructor and choreographer. Her students have gone on to work professionally around the world and she herself has been hired to choreograph and stage major professional productions and dance videos. Heidi is one of the original “Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders”, later becoming a choreographer for the Dolphins football organization. She is the founder of the Florida International University cheerleaders, and was director/choreographer of the cheerleading squad of the Spring Football League team, “The Tropics”. For 24 years she and her husband Joe directed the largest dance school in South Florida, the Heidi and Joe Melchiona’s Dance Center. Heidi was also busy choreographing and performing for the “American Dance Theatre Of Miami”, and other regional theaters. For five consecutive years she served as the choreographer for the Miss Florida USA pageant. She is a lifetime member of Dance Educators Of America, a “certifying” national organization of dance teachers and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of DEA, traveling across the country organizing and running both regional and national conventions. This past season she choreographed several musicals for area high schools including How To Succeed In Business for the Scranton High School, and Sound of Music for Crestwood High School.
