Kenton Harris, Ph.D.

Dr. Kenton is a member of the Dance Faculty of the Florida International University and is a professional dance instructor from Miami Florida. He was a principle danseur for the National Institute de Danse and appeared with the Miami Civic Ballet and Florida International Ballet under the direction of Edmundo Ronquillo and Vivian Tobio. Kenton was also a featured performer in a modern piece choreographed by Brazilian choreographer Giovanni Luguini. Dr. Kenton is a certified instructor with the Dance Educators of America Organization and is a member of the American Dance Critics Association. He has performed as both a soloist and company member at the Florida Dance Festival for the past several years and is a published author, writing about the philosophy and esthetics of dance. Dr. Harris was a former full time member of the teaching staff at the Joan Harris Centre.
