Laura Mitchell Desk Staff
Laura has been studying dance since age four. Her training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, modern and hip-hop. She has attended dance conventions both regionally and in Philadelphia. Miss Mitchell graduated Magna Cum Laude from College Misericordia receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood Education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi honor society. In addition to studying dance, Laura is active in community theater. Her experiences include choreographing several musicals such as Pippin, Music Man, Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific and the NEPTA award winning Pajama Game, just to name a few. She has appeared in regional productions as well, including Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum, Tommy and Footloose where she served as a cast member and dance captain. Laura performed in a series of sold out shows for the 2001 Performance Outlet in New York City hosted by the Broadway Dance Centre and danced the role of Eve in the avant-garde piece The Garden featured at the 2003 Pennsylvania Choreographers Showcase.
