MEGAN BRADY-

Megan began studying dance at age three at the Joan Harris Centre where she continues to train in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and fitness. She has performed in hundreds of productions both professional and community based. In 2005 Megan played the role of Queen Clava in the center's staging of Corciev, The Grieving Wood. This past year she appeared in the critically acclaimed production of West Side Story at the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre. Over the years, she has attended various dance conventions including Dance Educators of America in Philadelphia and the Keystone State Dance Festival. In 2004, Megan was a runner up for the Times Leader “Best and Brightest Award for the Fine Arts.” Miss Brady was selected to perform with the Moscow Ballet’s production of The Great Russian Nutcracker and also served as the assistant to the rehearsal mistress. She has performed in many theatrical productions including Tommy, Hello Dolly!, Mame and The Pajama Game, in which she cast in the lead role. She has choreographed student run productions of Into the Woods and The Wiz and worked as the assistant to the director of the Backstage Pass Theater Workshop. A 2004 graduate of Wyoming Valley West, Megan was vice-president of her chapter of the National Honor Society, as well as business manager and photo editor of the award winning yearbook. She was named to the Who’s Who of American Students and won a special distinction for her senior project on dance. In addition to studying dance, Miss Brady plays the piano and violin. Megan is currently a student at Wilkes University where she has received scholarships for her academic and community service achievements. She is enrolled in the university’s pre-professional program of the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and is a member of the school’s dance drill team.
