Melissa Mitchell

Melissa joined a long list of Joan Harris Dancers who have decided to make dance their career.
Miss Mitchell graduated from the nationally prominent dance education program at the New York University's Tisch School for the Arts, where she received a scholarship. She was a member of NYU's Kaleidoscope Dancers for Children, (1997) the Washington Square Repertory Dance Company, (1998) and continues to perform in several NYU graduate and undergraduate student dance concerts.
In 1997, Melissa won a full scholarship to the Dance Educators of America National Training School in New York City. In 1996, Melissa was an alternate for modern dance for the Governor's School. She is the recipient of several awards and began her studies under Joan Harris. She is currently in New York City pursuing her Master's Degree in Dance Education.
