A Glance Of Our Season From June 19, 2010 To June 19, 2011

The School Produced Three Performances Of Rockin with Radio At The F.M. Kirby Center Featuring All Our Students.  Highlighting The Productions Were The Sets; Fire on High By Miss Elisabeth, A Classic College Collage By Miss Jennifer And The Set Street Beats By Mr. Sean.
The Studio Held Its Summer Dance Intensives.
The Studio Held The Summer Theater Workshop Kirby Kidz.
Miss Elisabeth Was Hired By College Misericordia To Conduct Its Summer Dance Camp.
The Theatrical Production, High School Musical Jr.Was Staged At The F.M. Kirby Center To Conclude Its Annual Summer Theatre Workshop.
All The Students Of The Centre Appeared In Shows At Knoebels Amusement Park.
Hosted A Master Class By A Ballerina From The Internationally Touring Company The Moscow Ballet. 
Mr. Jim Directed The Biblical Musical Tales of Wonder For Saint Mary’s Church In Wilkes-Barre.
The Joan Harris Dancers Marched In The Parade And Performed At The Luzerne Fall Festival.
The Studio Produced  Halloween Hop as part of our 29th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Featuring The Original Work Old McDonald’s Farm Directed By Maria Dutt.
Miss Jennifer Conducted Five Courses Of The Wildly Popular Dancing With Mommy Program.
Miss Elisabeth Created And Held Two Sessions Of The Dance In All Of Us, A Specialized Dance Class For Autistic Children.
Our Dancers Performed In A Series Of Liturgical Works At Saint Mary’s Church Of The Immaculate Conception in Wilkes-Barre, Saint Ignatius Church in Kingston and the Shavertown Methodist Church in the Back Mountain.
53 Of Our Students Performed In The Moscow Ballet’s Production Of The Great Russian Nutcracker.
10 Of Our Students Appeared In The Professional Production Of The Wizard Of Oz.
The Studio Produced Three Productions of A Classic Christmas Featuring Scrooge, Jazzed Up Like The Dickens Directed By Miss Jennifer.
The Studio Hosted A Master Class In Ballet Conducted By Kelly Harris from Atlantic City, New Jersey, A Professional Dancer Who Toured Europe in 42nd Street. 
Mr. Jim  Directed The Biblical Musical The Song Of Mark For Saint Mary’s Church In Wilkes-Barre.

 

Mr. Sean Returned As An Adjunct Professor At Wilkes University To Teach A Series Of
      Accredited Tap Courses For Their Performing Arts Program.
Mr. Sean And Miss Jennifer Were Contracted By King’s College To Teach Credited Dance
      Classes For The Theater Department.
Miss Jennifer Was Hired To Teach A Dance Course For Leadership Wilkes-Barre.
Miss Dana Choreographed and Co-Directed The Musical Beauty And The Beast For GAR High School.
Miss Elisabeth Was Hired As An Artist In Residence For Wyoming Area’s 10th Street
      Elementary School. 
Six Of Our Students Were Named Finalist For The Best And Brightest Awards Sponsored By
      The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader.
Miss Dana Choreographed The Musical Sweet Charity For The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre.
The Centre Staged Three Performances Of The Ballet Don Quixote.
Back Stage Pass And The F.M. Kirby Center Announced Its Summer Theater Workshop Kirby Kidz Will Be Hosting Two Theater Camps Beginning The End Of June And Concluding With Two Productions Each Of The Musicals 101 Dalmatians Kids and Into The Woods Jr. At The Kirby Center In August.
The Joan Harris Dancers Were Featured Performers At The Fine Arts Fiesta.
Miss Amanda Was Named The 2011 Best And Brightest For Performing Arts.
The School Produced Three Performances Of “R”  -  Evolution of Dance at the F.M. Kirby Center Starring All The Students Of The School And Featuring Dante’s Redemption By Miss Elisabeth, The Set Tap 101 By Mr. Sean And The Speakeasy Directed By Mr. Thomas And Assisted By Miss Jennifer.
Staff From The School Were Hired To Choreograph 10 Different Musicals For Local Community Theaters And High Schools.
Students Of The Centre Appeared In Over Twenty Theatrical Productions Around The Region.
