A Glance Of Our Season From June 19, 2009 To June 19, 2010

The School Produced Three Performances Of The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You! At The F.M. Kirby Center Featuring All Our Students.  Highlighting The Productions Were The Sets; West Coast Story Directed By Rebecca Bogdanovich And Thomas Wilkins, At The Show Directed By Jim Harris, Welcome To The Club Directed By Jennifer Harris And Cry Of The Celts Directed By Sean Harris.

Reprised The Set West Coast Story For A Free Public Performance At The All About Dance Facility.

The Studio Held Its Summer Dance Intensives.

The Studio Held The Summer Theater Workshop Back Stage Pass.

Miss Elisabeth Was Hired By College Misericordia To Conduct Its Summer Dance Camp.

The Theatrical Production, Annie JR Was Staged At The Little Theater of Wilkes-Barre To Conclude Its Annual Summer Theatre Workshop.

All The Students Of The Centre Appeared In Shows At Knoebels Amusement Park.

Mr. Sean Returned As An Adjunct Professor At Wilkes University To Teach A Series Of Accredited Tap Courses For Their Performing Arts Program.

Hosted A Master Class By A Ballerina From The Internationally Touring Company The Moscow Ballet. 

Mr. Joe And Miss Heidi Were Hired To Choreograph A Musical For Wilkes University.

The Studio Was Hired To Train Local Performers To Appear In A Performance Of The National Tour Of The Wizard Of Oz.

The Joan Harris Dancers Marched In The Parade And Performed At The Luzerne Fall Festival.

The Studio Produced  It’s Halloween Magic as part of our 28th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Featuring A Dance Treatment To A Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Directed By Michelle Johnson.

Miss Jennifer Conducted Five Courses Of The Wildly Popular Dancing With Mommy Program.

Mr. Mark Starred In The Production Of Arsenic And Old Lace At The Little Theatre Of Wilkes-Barre.

Our Dancers Performed In A Series Of Liturgical Works At Saint Mary’s Church Of The Immaculate Conception in Wilkes-Barre, Saint Ignatius Church in Kingston and the Shavertown Methodist Church in the Back Mountain.

Mr. Joe Was Hired To Teach Master Classes At Dance Conventions In Cities Across The Country.

51 Of Our Students Performed In The Moscow Ballet’s Production Of The Great Russian Nutcracker.

 

10 Of Our Students Appeared In The Professional Production Of The Wizard Of Oz.

The Studio Produced Three Productions of The Wonder Of Christmas Featuring A Dance Treatment To The Night Before Christmas Directed By Miss Megan And Miss Heather And The Nativity Directed By Miss Jennifer.

The Studio Hosted A Master Class In Ballet Conducted By Dr. Kenton Harris, Miami FL,  A Former Professional Dancer With The Miami Civic Ballet. 

Mr. Sean Was Contracted By Kings College To Teach A Credited Dance Class For The Theater Department.

Mr. Jim  Directed The Biblical Musical The Song Of Mark For Saint Mary’s Church In Wilkes-Barre.

Miss Jennifer Was Hired To Teach A Dance Course For Leadership Wilkes-Barre. 

A Winter Semester Of Back Stage Pass Produced Two Performances Of Disney’s Aladdin JR At The Lemmond Theater On The Campus Of Misericordia University.

Miss Dana Choreographed and Co-Directed A Musical For  GAR High School.

Miss Heidi Choreographed Footloose For Crestwood High School.

The Centre Staged Three Performances Of The Ballet Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.

Nationally Known Artist Georgiana Cray Bart Opened Her Exhibit Of Works Based On Dancers And Performances By The Joan Harris Dancers. 

Back Stage Pass And The F. M. Kirby Center Joined To Create The Summer Theater Workshop Kirby Kidz That Will Begin The End Of June And Conclude With Two Productions Of Disney’s High School Musical JR At The Kirby Center In August. 

The Joan Harris Dancers Were Featured Performers At The Fine Arts Fiesta.

The School Produced Three Performances Of Rockin’ With The Radio at the F. M. Kirby Center Starring All The Students Of The School And Featuring The Piece Fire On High By Miss Elisabeth, A Classic College Collage By Miss Jennifer And The Set Street Beats By Mr. Sean.

Staff From The School Were Hired To Choreograph 10 Different Musicals For Local Community Theaters And High Schools.

Students Of The Centre Appeared In Over Twenty Theatrical Productions Around The Region.

The School Conducted A Full Year Of Intensive Dance Classes.

And Most Importantly, HAD ONE FANTASTIC TIME!!!
