Tashara Teart Desk Staff
Since a very young age, Tashara has been in love with dance and today she can be seen at the Joan Harris Centre studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. She has performed in a wide variety of productions from full length Ballets to musical showcases and recently in a liturgical dance at Saint Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception. Miss Teart is a 2005 graduate of Coughlin High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and was named to the “Who’s Who of American High School Students.” Tashara was the captain of Coughlin’s Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad and was given the opportunity to perform at a Temple University half time show. As a senior, she was named to the UCA All Star Team. Miss Tashara was an assistant in a specialized course of dance studies for the Deutsche Institute. It was her involvement with SAFE (Supporting Autism and Families Everywhere) that merited Tashara receiving the Catherine McCauley Scholarship for Community Service. Additionally, she received a Head Start Scholarship and a Coca Cola Scholarship (full tuition) to continue her studies. She is a senior at Misericordia University where she is pursuing a career in Elementary/ Special/Early Childhood Education.
